The benefits of our dietary supplement La Peau

The skin, the first reflection of our health

With the release of our new adaptogenic dietary supplement, we wanted to highlight the link between inner well-being and its outer reflection.

The skin is indeed our first organ in direct contact with the environment. It is subject to external attacks such as UV rays from the sun, pollution, but internal disturbances such as stress and cellular aging. Skin ( like hair ) is a good indicator of our overall well-being.

The skin

What are the benefits of the ingredients in La Peau ?

Our champion (correction: mushroom) adaptogen, maitake (which means "dancing mushroom" in Japanese) acts as an anti-stress and protects the skin from external aggressions. Its action is favorable for health and longevity. It also has an anti-inflammatory role and regulates blood sugar by improving glucose (sugar) tolerance.

This mushroom is rich in:

  • antioxidants
Their role is to protect against free radicals.
  • beta-glucans
They are polysaccharides, a type of fiber responsible for many beneficial health properties. They have been studied extensively for their ability to lower cholesterol levels, improve blood sugar management, and also reduce inflammation that can manifest on the skin.
  • B vitamins
A good supply of B vitamins revitalizes by regenerating the tissues of the epidermis.
  • vitamin C
This vitamin has a role in the synthesis of collagen, the most abundant protein in the body. The latter is known to strengthen the structure of the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is a transparent, gooey substance produced naturally by the body. Under these less attractive words hides an amazing function! It retains water and therefore keeps the tissues lubricated and hydrated, even for the deepest layers of the epidermis.

It is often repeated not to expose yourself to the ultraviolet rays of the sun, not to smoke tobacco which can decrease the amounts of hyaluronic acid in the skin and accelerate the natural aging process. Hyaluronic acid supplementation can prevent this decline by providing additional amounts to boost natural production. Hyaluronic acid will help reduce wrinkles and scars.

Zinc is a trace element with powerful anti-inflammatory properties. In particular, there are many studies on the link between zinc and the treatment of acne. It can help relieve some of the redness and irritation associated with acne and even reduce the appearance of acne scars.

Zinc is also used to treat other inflammatory skin conditions:

  • rosacea (chronic disease that results in small vessels on the face)
  • eczema (itching)
  • seborrheic dermatitis (on oily skin, red patches)
  • melasma (hyperpigmentation)

Orally ingested zinc is effective against inflammatory and bacterial acne.

Copper is also an essential trace element for many wound healing processes. Copper stimulates the secretion, among other things, of elastin (affects the elasticity and firmness of the skin) and of collagen by the dermal fibroblasts (role of flexibility) and their stabilization. Copper has a role of repair. It also regulates enzymes and contributes to the production of melanin (pigment that protects the skin from the sun) and promotes tanning.

Lycopene is a plant nutrient from the carotenoid family with antioxidant properties. It protects the cells of the dermis from oxidation. Tomato, strawberries, raspberries, watermelons… Its pigment gives this characteristic color specific to certain fruits.

Lycopene has been linked to health benefits ranging from protection against sunburn to heart health and some forms of cancer.
