7 tips for healthy hair

Who has never thought that their hair does not grow enough or not fast enough? Yet all hair grows an average of 1 cm per month! However, the hair is quickly weakened by our external environment (pollution, sun...), our way of life and above all, our level of stress. We therefore give you some tips to take care of your hair and stop it from falling.

1- Cut your hair regularly

It is advisable to cut your hair about every four months to keep the growth going. This prevents the forks from riding up the lengths, damaging them and having to cut everything.

2- Take care of your scalp

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. And for that, you have to find a shampoo adapted to your needs (dry, irritated or greasy scalp, presence of dandruff...). You must also be careful not to wash your hair too frequently and avoid too hot water. Finally, remember to massage your scalp to stimulate it.

3- Adopt a balanced diet

Everything starts with food and you have to make sure you have enough vitamins: B6 (liver, salmon, etc.), vitamins E (hazelnuts, almonds, etc.) and vitamins A (eggs, dairy products, etc.). ) but also protein and iron.

4- Brush your hair properly

No need to brush your hair all day, it could weaken it, but brushing it at night cleans it of the impurities of the day (pollution, dust, sebum, etc.).

Brush your hair, starting by detangling the ends, then work your way up to the scalp. The opposite can cause you to lose more hair because you are straining the follicle from the start.

However, avoid brushing your hair when it is wet because that is when it is most vulnerable.

After each use, remember to remove the hair remaining on the brush and wash it frequently.

5- Make masks regularly

Making masks allows you to deeply moisturize and nourish your hair. It's up to you to find the formula that suits you best: before or after your shampoo or an “oil bath” to leave on all night: coconut, argan or avocado oil are very nourishing.

6- Protect them from the sun

We know that the sun is harmful for the skin but also for the hair. UV rays are largely responsible for these inconveniences by attacking the hydrolipidic film of the hair. The scales of the hair are then damaged and the hair cells containing keratin (a natural protein that protects the hair) disintegrate.

This is why we recommend that you wear a hat or a scarf and apply a sunscreen / sun spray before your exposure to the sun. You can also do hairstyles to protect your hair: braids, chignon... After exposure, do not skimp on hydration by leaving a mask on.

7- Learn to manage your stress

Hair loss and stress are very closely linked, we then speak of “reactive” hair loss which can occur as a result of professional stress, severe fatigue, a change in lifestyle or nutritional deficiencies...

Adaptogenic plants are therefore very useful for learning how to better manage stress.

This is why we have formulated La Chevelure which protects, repairs and strengthens the hair. We used Amla, an essential plant in Ayurveda which protects against oxidative stress as well as Bamboo to remineralize and strengthen the hair and Biotin which slows down hair loss.
